Carbone's
Natale and Mary Carbone purchased the original "Carbone's" building from the Jamison Coal and Coke Company during The Great Depression.  Originally intended to be used as a pool hall, Mary began making delicious sandwiches and snacks at the request of the local patrons.  Pictured Nat and Mary on their wedding day, November 1927
Carbone's is a Crabtree institution that has been attracting hungry diners from all over Western Pennsylvania for over seven decades to their Italian restaurant on Route 119, midway between Greensburg and New Alexandria

Carbone's has employed many Crabtree locals, some staying as long as 50 years.  All of our employees are part of the Carbone Family!

Nat was the bartender, while his wife Mary was in charge of the kitchen. As their children grew up they all worked in the restaurant from the time they were tall enough to stand at the sink and wash dishes.
